The "Tennessee Documentary History, 1796-1850," on-line project contains 2,000 documents and
images relating to the history of antebellum Tennessee. With financial support from the Institute
of Museum and Library Services, the University of Tennessee Libraries built a free on-line website
with a full-text searchable database. Our primary audience is K-12 teachers of
Tennessee history, who can download primary materials for classroom instruction; however, the
content is suitable for academic scholars and general researchers as well.
